Happy Dancers!June 17-20, 2013
Wow what a great week of Irish Dancing! Sixteen kids ages 5-15 joined us at the YMCA in Cadillac, Michigan to learn some Irish steps, ceilis, culture & language. This year we divided into 3 levels since we had a new and intermediate dancers to learn either the jig, reel or slip jig. We learned the Harvest Time Jig as our Ceili and worked on Walls of Limerick as well.
All the dancers made T-Shirts and other crafts. The geography of Ireland was learned as well. We played several games to learn the Irish language and everyone was counting and speaking Gaelic by the end!
