Character Dance keeps the tradition of historical folk dances alive. NLDA students learn traditional steps and techniques to help them learn and adapt to new stiles.
Classical Variations are essential for all budding ballet dancers. learning variations allows dancers to learn and practice new moves and stiles. It gives dancers a sense of accomplishment to learn and master a dance that has been danced by so many talented performers through the years. Form Don Quixote to Sleeping Beauty to Swan Lake to La Fille Mal Gardee, and the list goes on, dancers can take pride in accomplishing such works of art.
