Foster Closet Shoe Drive

We are excited to announce our partnership with the Wexford-Missaukee Foster Closet of Michigan this holiday season for a Shoe Drive!

This Shoe Drive is sponsored by “A Special Christmas”, our holiday story production based off of the short story by Leo Tolstoy.

In the story a group of orphans are forced out into the cold, barefoot, to shovel snow. Cold and afraid, they ask Papa Panov, the towns old cobbler, if they could shovel his stoop in exchange for some shoes. Without hesitation he supplies all of the orphans with new shoes, leaving them overjoyed, warm, and filled with hope.

Just like Papa Panov helped those in his community, we are excited to bring our community together to help those in need.

New shoes (with tags) in sizes ranging from toddler to large adult can be dropped off at the NLDA studios or at any of the “A Special Christmas” show.

Drop off Locations and Dates:

Nov. 11th – Dec. 12th – Northern Lights Dance Academy (601 Chestnut St. Cadillac, MI 49601)

Dec. 14th – 15th – “A Special Christmas” Production held at the Cadillac CAPS Auditorium
